Annual Conference

2010 June Conference in Review

The Association of Proprietary Colleges held its annual conference at the Otesaga Resort in historic Cooperstown, New York – home to the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame and scenically set on the shores of legendary Otsego Lake.

More than 150 people took part in the conference, which carried the theme, “Ensuring Student Success thru Quality and Service.”

Highlights included a warm recognition of Bryant H. “By” Prentice, III, Chairman of the Board of Bryant & Stratton College, who retired as vice president of the APC Board of Trustees after more than 20 years of dedicated service. The keynote speaker was the distinguished Milton L. Cofield, Ph.D., Vice Chancellor of the New York State Board of Regents Member and Executive Director for Undergraduate Business Administration in the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. Harris N. Miller, President & CEO of the Washington, D.C.-based Career Colleges Association, delivered the Session I address. CCA represents more than 1,600 accredited, market-funded institutions of higher education.
