Welcome to APC Colleges

Founded in 1978, the Association of Proprietary Colleges represents 27 accredited, degree-granting institutions on 41 campuses throughout New York State. APC educates state and federal decision makers and advocates in favor of legislation and policy that supports the goals of higher education in New York and helps make college more affordable and accessible for all students.

From the hands-on education by experienced faculty, to the small class sizes and generous grant programs, to the extensive career counseling and placement services, APC Colleges provide students with a clear path to career opportunities and offer the business community an employable, highly educated graduate.

APC member colleges provide significant economic benefits to New York. Our colleges are taxpaying institutions that receive no direct state financial assistance, invest millions of dollars annually in capital improvements, employ thousands of New Yorkers and account for millions of dollars in economic impact in their communities. APC Colleges also provide millions of dollars in annual scholarships.

APC's 2012 TAP Campaign: Achieving Results, One Student at a Time

New York’s Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) helps students achieve the dream of a college education. This year APC is thanking the Governor and legislature for its continued support of TAP and fighting to restore cuts to TAP that went into effect two years ago that impact students who attend colleges that only offer two year degrees. We need to tell our elected officials that investing in education and investing in all of our students are good investments for New York.

Help students enrolled in colleges that only offer two year degree programs! Urge lawmakers to treat all students equally and restore cuts in the maximum TAP award for students attending two programs.
