New York’s Association of Proprietary Colleges (APC Colleges) will host its annual conference from June 24 to 26, in Saratoga Springs. Its focus will be on sharing fresh, innovative ideas to help ensure student success, in the areas of assessment and engagement, technology, social media and regulatory affairs.
The conference, titled “The APC Innovation Summit – Connecting Great Ideas with Growth and Student Success,” will bring together representatives from 25 degree-granting, tax-paying colleges across the state as well as higher education experts. Keynote speakers include David Stanford, president of The Motivation Group and Brian Niles, founder of TargetX, a higher education customer relationship management company.
“Higher education is in a state of transition,” said APC Colleges Executive Director Donna S. Gurnett. “The student population we serve is rapidly changing. Students are becoming more diverse, their needs more complex, and their expectations are evolving. Likewise rules, regulations and government oversight have increased.”
The APC 2014 Innovation Summit will provide an opportunity for faculty, staff, administrators and education partners to discuss and share best practices to address changing trends.
